Not satisfied with dominating the dance scene here on our shores they are also involved with one of this summers hottest festivals. Hideout in Croatia. Officially starting on 29th june to 1st July (but why not get there a few days early to soak up some rays) you can expect bikinis, Ray Bans and tunes on the almost sold out boat parties, dances on the beach, a ridiculous line up of acts every evening and of course sun, sex and sumptuous beats.

Speed Darting

Tonight will see a rather unusual event taking place under the roof of the infamous Alibi on Kingsland road.

Speed dating combined with darts. An unlikely amalgamation but like saucy alchemist this event has been brewed up for all you single Londoners this evening.

Also don’t worry if your darting skills are not on par with Phil ‘the power’ Taylor, after a few pints just hitting the board will be greeted with a crescendo of cheers.

However if somebody does throw a bulleyes I’m not sure what will happen. Probably a round of applause? Possibly a few high fives? Maybe an orgy will break out?

To find out head down to Alibi (91 Kingsland High Street, E8 2PB) tonight from 8pm onwards.

Bugged Out Weekender

Butlins in Bognor Regis. A place that conjures images of 1970s style family holidays and rainy disappointing school trips where the most fun was had on the backseat during the journey there. Not somewhere you would associate with cutting edge dubstep and dance music?

Well you would be wrong. The Bugged Out Weekender will be setting up shop for three days in Butlins for a good old fashioned bass fuelled shindig this weekend (20-22nd).

Acts including Joy Orbison, Night Slugs, Simian Mobile Disco, Joker, Redlight, Rob da Bank will feature on the same bill as huge DJs like Diplo and Chase & Status and Bugged Out legends like techno founders Green Velvet and Kevin Saunderson.

Bugged Out is now in its 17th year making it one of the UK’s longest running club nights. The Bugged Out Weekender promises to reflect the clubs history and future with a programme consisting of all the best in techno, acid house and bass music. Relatively new acts and collectives like. The dance scene is pushing the boundaries like no other genre of late and the weekender will reflect and capture this.

Tickets are still available from 139 English pounds which includes entry and accommodation. Plus the Redcoats have surely been banished for the weekend like crimson clad lepers so don’t worry about those fun enforcers. You might see them walking about town all disheveled and hapless. Don’t make eye contact. They’ll feed off your jubilation like a ravenous Nosferatu.

Other activities on offer beside nighttime revelry in the five main arenas include the sub tropical Splash Waterworld, Cinema, Funfair and Health Spa and plenty of bars and restaurants.

So what are you waiting for? Bognor beckons.
